An "ultra-bright LCD" typically refers to a type of liquid crystal display (LCD) that is designed to produce extremely high levels of brightness, making it suitable for outdoor use or environments with high ambient light. Here are some key points to understand about ultra-bright LCDs:

  • High Brightness Levels: Ultra-bright LCDs are engineered to achieve brightness levels that far exceed those of standard LCD screens. They often have brightness ratings measured in nits (a unit of luminance), with typical values ranging from 1,000 nits to 3,000 nits. In comparison, a typical indoor LCD might have a brightness of around 250-500 nits. For optimal visibility in direct sunlight. INFINITUS recommends a minimum brightness of 2,500 nits for use in any outdoor display monitor.

  • Outdoor Visibility: Ultra-bright LCDs are commonly used in outdoor displays, such as digital billboards, outdoor signage, information kiosks, and outdoor advertising screens. The high brightness ensures that the content remains visible even in direct sunlight or other bright conditions.

  • Reduced Reflection: To enhance outdoor visibility, ultra-bright LCDs often incorporate technologies that reduce reflections. Imotion outdoor display monitors are using 4+4mm laminated, thermally toughened glass with Anti-Reflective coating ( max 0,9% reflection ).
