Lower Energy Consumption
Energy consumption is one of the largest ongoing costs of operating an outdoor digital signage network.
Our optimized airflow architecture and intelligent Dual-Stage Cooling deliver cooling only when it's needed. Primary cooling handles everyday operation, while secondary cooling activates automatically during periods of higher thermal demand.
The result is lower power consumption by up to 30% to similar solutions without compromising thermal performance.

Reduced Maintenance costs
Servicing outdoor LCD displays is one of the largest ongoing and far too often unanticipated operating expenses. These displays are often deployed across multiple sites, including busy urban areas, transport hubs and hard-to-access locations. As a result, every service intervention can involve significant travel and labour costs. Since the displays are revenue generating assets, prolonged downtime is not acceptable.
While developing imotion DOOH, our objective wasn't to eliminate maintenance, it was to make it predictable, efficient and less frequent. With our technical monitoring software Controlmotion, which is included in every imotion sign, operators know exactly when service is required, helping eliminate unnecessary site visits and allowing maintenance to be planned before minor issues become major ones.
We didn’t only focus on predicting maintenance visits, but also on reducing maintenance requirements of the cooling system itself. Rather than relying on an intermediate heat exchanger, whose performance is too depended on keeping heat exchanger surfaces clean, imotion DOOH cools the integrated electronics directly using optimized airflow. This direct cooling approach delivers high thermal efficiency while maintaining consistent performance over time. By combining DSC™ with an optimized filter design, we reduced the filter load and extended filter service life by approximately one third.
Modular Design
During development, we considered the full lifetime of the system, which is ultimately limited by the lifetime of the LCD panel. For this reason, the enclosure was designed to support the integration of different UHB LCD panels. Switching between different LCD panels is easy and does not require any structural modifications.
In addition to supporting different LCD panels, we also prepared the system for the future integration of LED modules. The combination of a stainless steel enclosure and modular design allows already installed units to be upgraded without major modifications for ten years or more.
