Bringing Clarity to Public Communication with imotion FLOW

 Brief

The forward-thinking municipality of ILEF has installed outdoor digital kiosks to provide citizens with better information about city programs, services, news, and events.

Problem

ILEF, located in the district of Pfäffikon in the canton of Zürich, Switzerland, is known for its innovative approach. Even its name, ILEF, is an abbreviation for the city of Illnau-Effretikon, chosen for practicality. How many municipalities do you know with a "sub-brand"? The city aimed to enhance communication and technological infrastructure to foster a more connected, engaged, vibrant, and sustainable community. The goal was to deliver accurate, timely, and clear information on news and announcements that affect its residents.

Solution

The outdoor digital kiosk needed to withstand year-round exposure to severe weather conditions. Because it would be situated in a public setting, it also had to be resilient to impacts to prevent potential vandalism. Additionally, it had to deliver exceptional image quality, ensuring that content remained clearly visible even in direct sunlight.

Infinitus, known for its extensive experience in digital signage, provided the ideal solution with the imotion FLOW 75 outdoor digital menu board. This innovative system features two 75-inch ultra-high-brightness outdoor displays and has a proven track record of success in enabling towns and cities to embrace smart technology for entertainment, information dissemination, and enhancing urban life.

The imotion digital sign simplifies installation with its ultra-slim and elegant design, which not only protects but also ensures proper ventilation for the displays and AV equipment. Its structural components are crafted from steel with dual layers of powder coating and 4+4mm laminated, thermally toughened glass with an Anti-Reflective coating. Both displays are equipped with a multi-point touch screen, allowing them to function even when users are wearing gloves.

Public display

The imotion FLOW 75” Doublesided totem has replaced the static sign in front of a city administration building. Once the concrete bases had set, the unit was securely bolted down and promptly installed.
