Navigation Around Amusement Park Can Be Easy

Brief
After years of positive impacts of digital signs on visitors’ experience and the park revenues Europa-Park decided to expand its network with two uniquely built imotion FLOW digital signage displays.

Situation analysis
Europa-Park is the second most popular theme park resort in Europe, located in south-western Germany in city Rust. Park is not famous only for its 13 roller coasters but also for their easy to navigate wayfinding solution which enhance visitor experience. This is achieved with network of unique custom designed outdoor imotion digital signs. Individually customized screens can offer detailed information about a specific exhibit or even provide instructions for patrons waiting in line. Signs were installed almost four years ago and still represent a success story in cooperation between expert supplier and a customer with a need for a complex custom solution.

After four years of positive impacts and reliable performance of digital signs, Europa-Park decided to expand its network with another smaller interactive display placed on a strategic point of the park. They didn’t need simple designed digital signs but interactive totems which reflects theme of the park.

Solution
To reflect the theme of the attraction Infinitus customized imotion FLOW standard signs with a custom color and stickers. With that totems not only improved all day communication but became part of the visitor’ visual experience. And Europa-Park is all about experiences, with the words of executive director Michael Mack: “(we) aimed to create new entertainment experiences and make their presence even stronger outside of the park.

Public display
Customized imotion FLOW 46 Portrait Freestanding with integrated touch screen and card reader was installed on strategic point of the park.
