Invisible Hearing Loop Integrated in Passenger Information System

A hearing loop, also referred to as an audio induction loop system, consists of one or more physical loops of cables placed in a designated area (such as a room, building, or interactive totem). These cables generate an electromagnetic field throughout the looped space, which can be picked up by the telecoil in a hearing aid, a cochlear implant (CI) processor, or a handheld hearing loop receiver.

The benefit of this technology is that it enables the direct reception of a specific sound source. For instance, it allows a hearing-impaired listener to use audio interactive outdoor digital signs without being affected by other distracting noises in the environment. More about the technology and application can be read in our longer article.

Invisible Hearing Loop an Add-on?

Imotion Digital Hearing Loop System contains an inbuilt coil, enabling it to broadcast to a wider height range with a strong signal and little interference. Thanks to the EDGE GLASS design, there's no need to install the perimeter within the floor or on visible parts of the passenger information system for communication reception. Instead, it can be seamlessly integrated behind the double-layered 4+4 mm protective glass, which covers the upper front portion of the outdoor digital sign
