Brief

After eight years of positive impact on visitors’ experience Wales Millennium Centre replaced original 5th generation units that were still in operation, installed back in February 2013. Two large outdoor digital signs were replaced with modern, slick looking imotion G7 75” double sided totems.

Situation analysis

WMC is an arts center located in the Cardiff, Wales, with reputation as one of the world's most iconic arts and cultural destinations, attracting over 1 million visitors every year. It’s known not only for cultural events, but also as an architecture masterpiece. This holistic design wouldn’t be complete without modern communication tools in front of the building.

In February 2013 they decided to replace the existing advertising signs. They had all the usual poster problems that are associated with short print runs, causing time delays and expense for updating.

Existing monolith poster signs were replaced with imotion G5 65″ double sided digital outdoor signs. Digital totems added whole new level of advertising potential. After eight years they wanted to update their units with bigger 75” screens and more modern design.

Solution

WMC choose imotion G7 outdoor digital sign technology. This improved 7th generation is now even more reliable and easier to operate. Improved health monitoring and system protection contributes to a hassle-free experience for systems administrators. Which can now use their time to take full advantage of the advertising potential.

Totems are not only improving all day communication, they also become a part of the visitor’ visual experience.
