Revolutionizing Self-Storage: The Power of Digital Signage

Brief:

Pink Self Storage is a low-cost self-storage solution company with multiple live storage sites across Swansea, Cardiff, Newport, and Barry. Their storage units are easily accessible and secure with CCTV monitoring. To further enhance its customer experience, Pink Self Storage wanted to implement a solution that could automate customer check-in and access to their storage units, without the need for on-site personnel.

Situation analysis:

The traditional method of customer check-in and access involves interacting with on-site personnel, which is a time-consuming process and results in high operational costs. Pink Storage wanted to revolutionize the storage business, with a fully automated self-storage system. The idea was to create an online check-in website and connect it to the storage facility. For that, they needed a way to communicate with customers on-site. This is where Infinitus' outdoor digital sign, the imotion FLOW, came in.

Solution:

Infinitus provided Pink Self Storage with imotion FLOW outdoor digital sign with a 46" UHD display, an IP camera, and a custom enclosure design. Imotion FLOW technology was chosen for its proven track record of reliability, which was the main decision point in the selection process. An outdoor digital sign was placed at the entrance gate of each storage site.

When a customer drives in, the camera identifies them based on their vehicle registration plate. The imotion FLOW then displays a greeting message with the customer's name and their container number. The gate automatically opens, allowing the customer to access their container without the need for on-site personnel.

The Imotion FLOW digital signs at Pink Self Storage's storage sites are a great example of how digital signs can be used as communication tools to automate processes and enhance customer experiences. With Infinitus' solution, Pink Self Storage was able to eliminate the need for on-site personnel, streamline their check-in process, and reduce operational costs. Customers also benefited from a faster and more convenient check-in process.
