Knock Shrine Improves Communication for 1.5 Million Visitors with Outdoor Displays
Project Overview
Knock Shrine, Ireland’s national Marian shrine and one of the country’s most visited spiritual landmarks, partnered with us to modernize their on-site communication. What began with the installation of two imotion FLOW 75" Portrait Freestanding Displays quickly proved to be such a success that the Shrine increased network with two more.
Designed for high visibility and resilient outdoor performance, imotion FLOW outdoor displays have transformed how the Shrine delivers key messages to 1.5 million visitors annually. From mass times and prayer services to event promotions and café updates, the new signage system ensures every visitor receives clear, timely information, no matter the weather or time of day.

Client Goals
To improve visitor experience while addressing key operational challenges, Knock Shrine required a signage solution that could:
Remain crystal clear and visible in all lighting conditions.
Operate reliably despite the wet, coastal Irish climate.
Be easy for staff to manage daily without technical training.
Offer long-term durability and energy efficiency.
The Solution
The imotion FLOW digital signage proved to be the perfect match. Each unit is built for performance and resilience, featuring:
75” 4K Ultra-Bright Displays: Engineered for optimal visibility in direct sunlight, delivering stunning clarity that impressed both staff and visitors.
Rugged Outdoor Protection: Stainless steel casing with dual-layer powder coating resists corrosion, vital in Knock’s high-humidity, sea-air environment.
Controlmotion Smart Intelligence: Digital sign autonomously manage brightness, fans, and heating, minimizing maintenance and optimizing power use.
Remote Content Management: Using Play Digital Signage, content like mass times, event details, and café promotions is updated daily and scheduled to appear at the right time.
