Improve Visitors and Employers Experience With Outdoor Digital Signs

Brief
Paris Hospital network (22 hospitals) installed 11 full outdoor (direct sun exposure) and 9 semi outdoor touch interactive public way finders. Purpose is to ease orientation of visitors, decrease time spent and consequential frustration of employees constantly asked for directions.

Situation analysis
Metropolitan hospitals are usually very confusing to navigate, especially for first time visitors. They will be stressed out, delaying hospital processes and wasting time of employees with basic questions. Management wanted to improve visitor employee experience and general performance of hospital departments.

Solution
They have recognized all can be achieved with comprehensive digital signage wayfinding solution assemble of both Full outdoor and semi-outdoor units. Interactive kiosks were strategically placed to cover all entrance areas to ensure complete coverage.

Touch screen GUI allows visitors to browse map and search for doctors, rooms and departments. With code visitors receive when arranging doctor visit, visitors can receive custom orientation plan, and send it to own mobile phone. Client renewed contract 3 years after installation.

Public display
Eleven “smurf” colored full outdoor 1.500 nit luminance imotion 46” portrait touch interactive systems with anti graffiti coating , ambient light sensors and UPS (uninterrupted power supply). Interactive imotion LITE 46” portrait semi external LCD screens with 700 nit LCD panels and same treatment (without UPS) are used for shaded areas.
