Digital kiosk: Connecting E-commerce platform with physical world

Major Baltic retail operator placed outdoor digital kiosk at a newly designed Click & Collect platform.

Situation analysis
In retail sector there is a well-known fact that a good customer experience keeps customers coming back. Advice on “improving the retail customer experience” gets thrown around a lot these days, mainly because consumers can literally shop from anywhere. In an age when people can purchase products with a click of a button, brick-and-mortar retailers need to step up their game.

Baltic retail operator wanted to implemented Click & Collect solution, which would provide convenient online shopping and on-site delivery of goods. The aim was to improve the customers shopping experience and ensure risk-free delivery of goods.

Solution
To enrich customer experience, they integrated a modern communication tool, which can be controlled remotely. Outdoor totem is not only providing a smooth process of the takeover, but is also catching the attention of visitors and promoting special offers. When the customer approaches Click & Collect platform, the system automatically recognizes the car number and directs the driver to the destination. Simultaneously with entering the territory, the customer is authorized and the store employee receives a notification of his arrival.

Public display
imotion FLOW 46 Portrait kiosk with 2.500 nits brightness that guarantees content visibility in high ambient light conditions was placed at Click & Collect platform. Totem powered by FLOW technology automatically notifies any failure and calls for maintenance.
