Enhancing Outdoor Transit with Digital Signage

Brief:

Modern life revolves around mobility, and we understand that travel time can often be perceived as lost time. That's why we believe in making the most out of every moment, even during transportation. Our client shared the same vision and approached us to install outdoor transportation digital signage, providing passengers with an enjoyable and informative experience during their journey.

We were tasked with developing two outdoor digital signage displays at the central bus station in Maribor, Slovenia. The client wanted a solution that would provide real-time information to passengers and enhance their overall experience at the station. They wanted a reliable, future-proof solution.

Situation Analysis:

The bus station in Maribor is a busy transportation hub, serving thousands of passengers daily. The existing static signage was outdated, difficult to read, and did not provide real-time information. This led to confusion among passengers and increased the workload for station personnel.

Solution:

Our team recommended the installation of two imotion FLOW outdoor digital signage displays, each with a 55" double-sided screen. Two information points would cover all the passengers, as the area was not too big.

The imotion FLOW technology was the perfect solution for displaying schedule information due to its proven track record and reliability. The imotion FLOW displays are also easy to maintain thanks to their self-regulated thermal management and automatic failure notifications. Designed with an IP56 rating and IK10 certification, they are able to withstand harsh weather conditions, making them ideal for outdoor use in public spaces.

Public Display:

The installation of the imotion FLOW displays has transformed the bus station in Maribor. Passengers can now access real-time information, which has reduced confusion and improved the overall passenger experience. The displays have also reduced the workload for station personnel, as passengers can now find the information they need without assistance and the schedule information is automatically updated.
