Exhibiting at FEPE 2012 OOH advertising industry congress

imotion® complies with European environmental directives

By the year 2014 the EU wants to reduce electricity consumption by 70%. Current consumption is at 14TWh. EU is committed to reach consumption that will not exceed 5 TWh in 5 years. To reduce electricity consumption and greenhouse gas effects they will adopt a number of regulations. For this reason the European Parliament will pass a law in spring, limiting the consumption of electricity and establishing a standard of effectiveness for electronic devices.

The law will address a minimum standard of display's efficiency across Europe. Considering the fact that 42''plasma screen consumes from 385W to 573W of electricity, while LCD screen of same size consumes only 152W to 223W, which is 60% less, it can be expected, that plasma screens will be banned on all European markets.

Since our company is aware of environmental responsibility and we always strive to develop products that are energy efficient, adoption of such regulations would actually mean a slight advantage for us.

imotion in extreme weather conditionss

End of last year we sold 65'' landscape imotion to an Austrian company, which had the idea to place our imotion on the ski slope. Ski center Brandnertal, saw the opportunity to use imotion system for affirming their position as a modern ski resort, providing their customers a pleasant overall experience. The imotion is located next to the cabin lift station, displaying information on snow conditions and events of the surrounding area. Besides local information, tourist offers and local restaurants are presented. In addition to the fitting, we have supported the project with professional consulting and the development of special application for advertising in ski areas.

High mountains with their 1500m altitude, strong sun light, intensive snow reflection, night-time temperatures below -20°C, winds reaching speeds over 100km/h, present a true test of our technology in the harshest environment. A special challenge was to ensure excellent dynamic contrasts, despite the strong sun and snow reflection. Another challenge was the proper discharging of condensed moisture, which is very important in such environments with significant temperature fluctuations.

By setting the imotion in an extreme high mountain weather conditions, we showed the advantages of our technology over the others. We have successfully achieved all the objectives, without deviating from our standards of quality. We presented a though case and showed the quality of our product that meets the highest standards and functions perfectly well in all weather conditions.
