2009
Whole year of 2009 was scarred by global recession and not surprisingly it caused fast growing digital signage market to decrease the speed of growth. Optimization and rationalization in all spheres was necessity for all organizations fighting to overcome sudden loss of profits caused by macro business factors. That is of course the positive effect of recession, as it forces organizations to optimize processes and become "sharper".
Infinitus had quite a fruitful period none the less. We have managed to optimize and grow, as: succeeding to create many great contacts, we have grown in HR, changed focus to marketing and sales, winning a technological development investment project RIP-09, launching new web site, celebrating 2 year since the first commercial installation of 65" imotion® products and last but not least developing the 5th generation imotion® technology. Each of this milestones or processes are driving us towards reaching our goal of initiating the market for outdoor LCD based digital signage communication and positioning as one of top players there.
Reward for our good work during the 2009 is already showing as we became first supplier of all-weather outdoor Full HD LCD display systems to sign Technological Partnership with SCALA and had chance to host one of the fastest growing digital signage management software companies FWi on our booth at ISE 2010 trade fair.
2008
Following our participation at the ISE 2008 fair in Amsterdam (Integrated Systems Europe), where newly designed and developed imotion® was finally presented to the business public, the company is concentrating on the execution of its first international projects.
2007
In 2007 Infinitus became official distributor of SHARP professional LCD displays that are used in the imotion system. In November 2007 the product development was finished and launched on to the global market. By the end of 2007, the first 10 units had been installed in Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia.
2006
On the 9th of October 2006 the first prototype of imotion 65" P (Portrait) was presented to the public and on the same day the first letter of Intent was signed for purchase of 10 sets of imotion® public displays with the launching customer. Afterwards, 6 test units of the imotion 65" display were set up for testing purpose and successfully defied different weather conditions, such as hot summer, direct sunlight, low winter temperatures, snow, etc. Until now the imotion® has been presented at four international fairs, and received an award for best Innovation at IENA fair in Nuremberg, Germany.
2004 The Company's knowledge of information technology enabled the development of a new outdoor communication media, named imotion®. The development of the product started in summer 2004 and was launched on the market in November 2007. In its early stage the company received Series A capital-backing form ERDF (European Regional Development Fund).
The unique feature of this innovation is that the media of the indoor advertising such as LCD display has simply been transferred to the outdoor environment.
In October 2004 the patent application was filed and in May 2006, after receiving positive answer to patent application, the company began operating.
